We’d draw the curtains closed and gather around our long mahogany dining room table. My father would carefully set up the EUMIG Super 8 projector, its rhythmic hum filling the room as he threaded the reels with precision. It was a time we all looked forward to—a chance to relive recent celebrations, vacations, and milestones.

The warm, flickering light of the projector danced on the white projector screen, and as the scenes played out, so did the sounds of laughter and heartfelt conversations around the table. Never did I imagine that decades later, those same reels would be digitised and viewed on a modern computer. Watching them now on my Mac Studio computer feels like stepping into a time machine.
